Ramadhan 2017 Iftaar Relief Fund Commences:

It is the month of Rajab, and as in the past 19 years, CAI is gearing up to feed the poor and destitute iftaar in the upcoming month of Ramadhan insha’Allah. Basic food grains like rice, wheat flour, pulses, tea, sugar, cooking oil and dates will be distributed in Afghanistan, 14 countries of Africa, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, and Yemen. Because Yemen in included into the list this year and due to the grave situation there, CAI is looking to raise US$320,000 for the iftaar this year.

This aid is possible only if we begin the logistics from now, since purchasing the food, transportation to remote areas and physical distribution before Ramadhan requires mammoth planning. Please help us accomplish this task, do not wait until the last minute to contribute. Food prices go up considerably as we near Ramadhan and it becomes a logistical nightmare to do justice to your dollars at the last moment.

Let us bring relief and happiness to the poor during this holy month for the pleasure of Allah. Please donate at www.comfortaid.org now or pledge. Allah bless.

More Milk Powder / Medicines For Yemen:

Our efforts in saving the lives of Yemeni children starving due to the war situation continues. CAI/BETA donors have already facilitated and distributed US$140,000 worth of milk powder, and more will be given away soon insha’Allah. A further US$50,00 is being allocated for life-saving medication to be distributed to local hospitals deal with disease related to malnutrition in children.

Please help if possible. Allah bless.

Rohingya Refugee Homes Project Update:

100 homes for Rohingya victims of war are already built and given away within Myanmar proper; progress is underway to construct another 100. Our efforts are hampered by severe restrictions by the Burmese army in rendering the aid and making subsequent inspections. CAI will cease the housing project after this completes due to the difficulties and constraints involved in the compliance checks.

CAI To Open 6th Remote Medical Clinic In Afghanistan:

You might already know CAI has constructed and operates five medical clinics in remote parts of Afghanistan. Many of the people we serve have never seen a medical doctor before, ever. The impact of these medical services to the local communities are dramatic and profound. Women get prenatal care; children are born in modern and hygienic environments; they get immunized, people get free checks, free medications, and basic surgery.

We have a donor who will pay for the construction for the 6th clinic insha’Allah, but we lack operating funds for the staff and medical clinics. We need to collect US$34,000 by May 2017, so we can begin operations in a mud house while the clinic building is getting ready.

Please help if possible.  Allah bless.
