Alhamd'Allah, the soil test results are in and all systems ready to start construction on this very important project that will insha'Allah educate 4,000 plus children and seal their future as responsible, educated and productive citizens of Islam and their country. Update on  Elementary and High School at Daste Barchi, Kabul, Afghanistan:

Sharing construction progress photos with you; please keep this very important project in your duas for success as I cannot begin to relate how critical this school is for the redemption of Afghanistan. 4,100 destitute girls and boys will insha'Allah get a quality education here, soon, insha'Allah. CAI has raised USD375,000 from the USD770,000 required for this massive project that will house a modern school with physics, chemistry, biology and computer labs and a library. The school hall abuts the  mosque next door and will act as an overflow during Friday and Eid prayers, majalises in Muharram and Ramadhan and other crowd pulling days. Insha'Allah.

This will be a huge school, Insha'Allah, both in size and importance to this refugee community that survived the extreme horrors of execution of her menfolks and torture of women. About half of USD950,000 needed to finish the project already received or committed, alhamd'Allah. This will be a modern and practical school, constructed with most durable material, with 3 laboratories and a library. Grand opening sometime March 2010, insha'Allah; YOU are invited!

Sharing new photos of our project at Daste Barchi, Afghanistan slated for opening late March 2010, insha'Allah. ALL of you are invited, of course, to celebrate this fabulous investment in the way of Allah (S) for the future leaders of Afghanistan, Insha'Allah.

Made a very quick trip into Kabul to meet with few professionals regarding the implementation of syllabus and administartion of the school once we open doors in March 2010, insha'Allah. Kabul was super cold! I fret about the poor and destitute without much warmth in the remote areas of Afghanistan; may Allah (S) have mercy on them and protect them, insha'Allah.

The meetings were very productive; Itraat Academy located in Heraat will manage the school for CAI at no cost. Itraat Academy has 25 plus years of painful (under the Talibaan regime) but now very fruitful experience in management and running of a professional educational institute. Itraat Academy has an impressive track record backed up by several awards and partnerships from the United Kingdom. The ownership, funding and veto rights of running the school will remain with CAI - Afghanistan.

I am very exited and happy with the progress achieved on the construction site which is an incredible sight. Your generosity in the way of seeking Allah's pleasure has resulted in this beautiful and practical school that will insha'Allah produce leaders and productive members from our community that Afghanistan so disparately need.
