Kibaya Elementary School
- Location: Handeni District, Tanga, Tanzania
- Current Situation:
  - 870 students
  - Six dilapidated classrooms
  - No functioning bathrooms
  - Some students study outdoors under a tree
- Planned Improvements (by CAI):
  - Restoration into a modern learning institution
  - Construction of a 10-cubicle bathroom for girls and another for boys
  - Addition of two new classrooms to accommodate outdoor learners

Mnyandege Elementary School
- Location: Mnazi, Kivingo Village, Lushoto District, Tanzania
- Current Situation:
  - 840 students
  - Seven dilapidated classrooms
  - No functioning bathrooms
  - Some students study outdoors under a tree

Hytham, a 3-year-old boy, was suffering from a painful and debilitating illness. His single mother, desperate for help, turned to CAI.

Instead of repeatedly appealing donors for medical funds, CAI paid for a basic government-backed health insurance scheme, costing just $14 a year. This small intervention transformed Hytham’s life; he now receives regular medical care and free medication, and attends school where he plays merrily with his peers.
