I recently returned from a tour of flood affected areas in Pakistan. Although Punjab holds much promise with very good wheat and cotton harvests this year insha’Allah, Sindh Province is in acute food crises with many families going with one meal a day only, if that. CAI has released US$10,000 for purchase of food grains but this will hardly make a dent into the dire situation. Please help us purchase at least another $15,000 worth of food grains by April 15 by making a contribution. Please kindly circulate this appeal to those that may not get or see it.

Appeal for Marriage Assistance to Poor Girls
One service that CAI provides is marriage assistance to enable desperately poor girls get married. These girls are already engaged but cannot complete marriage formalities due to lack of funds. This is a horrible predicament with many, many families, especially in India; engagements are broken off or simply not solemnized, ruining the young women’s life. . These funds are given to the prospective bride for use at her discretion, usually for humble new home furnishings. A typical marriage assistance package costs between US$320 – $500. Please help.
To maintain the dignity of the bride, CAI will not publish wedding photos on website but can be sent to any donor making such request.
