Water Elation
This is the typical emotion of people when the drilling machine strikes the water table. CAI’s most recent deep water well project was in remote Handeni, Tanzania. This well will provide clean potable water to about 3,000 people who daily toil for a bucket of clean water. They will now be able to bathe more than once a week and the children will attend school full-time instead of fetching water first thing in the morning.
Latest Afghan School – An Update
Constructing a school in remote Gereshk District, Helmand has a lot of challenges, even without the upheavals, economic and or political, that now grips Afghanistan. This school, Bibi Zainab Elementary School will soon provide a safe and modern place for about 350 children, mostly girls from very remote and poor locations to study for the first time in their lives. Homes For Poor Homeless Widows
25 double-story homes for 50 poor homeless widows and their families in Herat, Afghanistan – victims of bomb blasts – are almost ready. These poor widows will be able to focus on income generation for their families without having to worry about paying rent. Soon insha’Allah. Sharing a few photos.
