2025 Ramadhan Food Aid
CAI will insha’Allah, for the 27th consecutive year, distribute Ramadhan iftaar food baskets to the poor and homeless during February 2025. This aid will cover eligible recipients in the following 23 countries – Afghanistan, Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, India, Iraq, Kenya, Lebanon, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Nepal, Niger, Pakistan, Rohingya/Bangladesh, Senegal, Somalia, Syria, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Yemen and Zimbabwe.
As the logistics of purchase, transport and distribution of the food grains is so varied and involves delicate and timely planning, we are hoping to get the ball rolling now. We need to raise US$1,400,000 to feed 28,000 families across these countries at US$50 of basic foodgrains each.
Alhamd’Allah CAI has not failed to reach the goal every year except one and we are confident we can feed all these fasting individuals this year as well. Please contribute or pledge now so that we can do this all together and help a poor fasting person have a decent, nutritious iftaar meal.

A Maternity Hospital In Manakara | Madagascar
Manakara, an impoverished town in southern Madagascar, is typical in lack of healthcare like elsewhere in Africa – even more. The mortal infancy rates are shocking, and when the mother does make it to a government-run ‘hospital’ in time for delivery, the lack of post-natal care is non-existent.
Worldwide donors of CAI will soon embark on constructing a fully-equipped small maternity hospital to provide quality pre/post-natal care to the hapless community. Once the clinic gets going, it will have a qualified pediatrician, a midwife, a nurse, and the facility to perform C-section surgery. Please donate here towards this excellent investment.
Afzal Yusufali, Murtaza Bhimani, Zuhair Hemraj, and I drove two days from Antananarivo to Manakara to visit this location, where BCT/CAI has already constructed a first-class school. Some eye-opening photos follow:

The Six Remote CAI Medical Clinics Of Afghanistan
Worldwide donors of CAI have sponsored the construction of six functional and life-saving medical clinics in the far reaches of this frigid country. The sick get medical attention, expectant mothers deliver babies in a safe and sterile room, babies get vaccinated, and just the presence of such a modern facility in their miserable mist is enough to cure many psychological ailments.
