Relief Aid For Afghanistan Earthquake / Bangladesh Flood Victims
CAI donors have been active in providing relief aid of essential foods and potable water to the victims of an earthquake in Paktika Province of Afghanistan and floods in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Both events killed scores of people and left the most vulnerable without food and potable water. CAI partners made a rapid assessment and mobilized aid immediately and were able to deliver relief within three to five days of the disaster to these remote locations. Sharing a few photos.
Qurbaani
CAI donors distributed meat and skin of over 600 animals to the poor and destitute in Afghanistan, India, twelve countries in East and West Africa, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, and Yemen. This was done between July 9 and July 11, giving people who do not regularly afford animal protein to enjoy a meal during Eid.
Six Medical Clinics - Afghanistan
CAI donors support the operation of six medical clinics in the most remote areas of Afghanistan. A purpose-built complex, complete with the services of a medical doctor, a nurse, a midwife, a pharmacist, vaccinators, and other support staff provides primary, pre and post-natal care to the poorest people in the world, most of whom have never sought medical care in their lives.
