Mobilizing For Ramadhan
The holy month of Ramadhan is about 5 weeks away and CAI has begun mobilizing to feed the hungry all over the world once more. We are targeting the most vulnerable areas that are often in remote and violence-prone areas of the world. For this exercise to be successful and cost-effective, CAI is appealing for your donations so we can meet our target. A food basket supplement will be distributed so that a poor family can eat a satisfying iftaar. The countries CAI will aid are:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh (Rohingya refugees), Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, India, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Nepal, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, and Yemen. A total of 17,840 families will get food grains of about US$40 each.
Please help. Allah bless.
CAI Projects In Madagascar
Ali Yusufali was on the ground in Madagascar recently, feeding about 6,000 people made destitute by a series of typhoons that tore into the impoverished island. A couple of school projects are under active consideration insha’Allah. You may find these photos, this video clip and this narrative and photos informative.
A School / 5 additional Deep Waterwells – Handeni
In our commitment to aiding global communities with severe water sourcing issues, CAI donors have pledged to fund the drilling of 5 additional water-wells, each providing about 3,000 – 5,000 homes with potable water. This is in addition to 10 already drilled in and around Handeni District in Tanga, Tanzania where water is a gigantic dilemma for the community. A school rehabilitation project is also in mobilization.
This short clip gives an excellent insight to the water and school projects in and around Handeni.
