Infant Milk For Syria
Sohail and I have just concluded a brief but grueling and perilous trip into Syria – Zainabiya, Latakia, and Hasya’a. While the rebuilding of severely damaged homes is beyond the scope of CAI due to the scale of destruction, financial, legal and logistical challenges, there are areas we could help – blankets, hot meals, and rent stipends to those left homeless due to the earthquake. Click here for a photo album of our trip.
Of urgent need is powdered milk for infants. CAI is mobilizing to truck in 50,000 cans of infant powder milk from Iraq and we will be on the ground distributing it to eligible mothers sometime during Ramadhan. This should happen during the third week of Ramadhan, insha’Allah. CAI has about half of the $250,000 needed. Please help if possible by donating here and notating ‘Milk’.
