Eye and Medical Camp for Rohingya Refugees | Cox's Bazar | Nov 2024
Comfort Aid International sponsored an eye and medical camp for Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, where over 1 million people endure dire conditions in makeshift camps.
With limited access to healthcare and no major clinics available, this initiative addressed critical medical needs. Partnering with local organization GUK and supported by CAI’s generous donors, the camp served over 810 patients for eye exams and more than 250 for medical checkups in its initial days. So far, 31 cataract surgeries have been successfully completed, with 200 more scheduled.
CAI anticipates more than 3,000 refugees visiting this eye and medical camp.
