Afghanistan Blanket Drive Update:

Imam Hussein (A) Elementary and High School Update:

Imam Sajjad (A) Clinic in Sacheck, Afghanistan:
It gives me immense relief and incredible pleasure to announce the opening of above clinic in Sacheck on December 14, 2009. Alhamd’Allah, this is a HUGE accomplishment for CAI and her donors. About 9,500 hapless and wretched people are now benefiting from medical care of a professional doctor and a nurse plus pain killing and life saving drugs where none were available before. A midwife will be added to the staff soon, insha’Allah.
We thank Allah (S) for the taufiq He has bestowed on the donors of this life support program without which the trouble and misery of these poor people would have continued unabated.
Few photos attached; the ice and snow you see INSIDE the clinic will be eliminated soon with the purchase of a bukhara (wood furnace) soon, insha’Allah.
Sacheck, Afghanistan Water Project Update:
As we commemorate and remember the the tragic plight of Imam Hussein (A) and his family these days, I remind you the tragic and painful situation of water supply in rural Afghanistan. CAI is involved in several projects that alleviate unbelievable pains these people go through to obtain water from a very, harsh and hostile terrain; this one in Sacheck, Afghanistan. This project, at a cost of about USD23,000 now distributes pure drinking water to about 5,000 very poor farmers; this water will also be used to irrigate their lands, thus helping eliminate hunger with reasonable good harvests, insha’Allah.
CAI has several such projects in the pipeline that awaits funding; please donate generously so that we can partake in this act that is so beloved in the eyes of Allah (S).
IRS Tax Deductible Receipts:
All 2009 receipts will be mailed before January 31, 2010 and will include Khums receipts from Aagha Seestani London / Najaf offices, if applicable. Please ensure your 2009 donations arrive before December 31 so you can take the deduction in 2009. Jazaak’Allah.
Muharram in Kabul, Afghanistan:
Sharing few photos of Muharram preparation in Daste Barchi – Kabul. Remember, this is only Kabul where there is a minority. These arrangements are much more elaborate and grand in remote Afghanistan. Click here (media player required).
