| Phanderi Girls School Nears Completion |

CAI donor funded Phanderi Girls School in UP, India is almost complete alhamd’Allah, to be officially opened first week of February 2013. This is an exciting landmark for this poor community in Nagao Sadaat where education opportunities, especially for poor girls, is a challenge. They will now study in a modern facility complete with all amenities for a brighter and more prosperous life insha’Allah. A proud CAI / donor partnership. | Winter Blanket Drive Concludes In Afghanistan |

CAI has, alhamd’Allah, completed the distribution of warm blankets to sometimes impassable, impossible to reach communities in Afghanistan where winters are brutal and lives at stake. 3,200 heavy life saving blankets were distributed this year. Although this is a very small percentage of communities CAI could reach due to logistics and financial constraints, I am satisfied we did our best to insha’Allah possibly save lives. Here are photos of distribution in very remote Badakshan Province, one of the coldest places on earth.

| Aid To Shaheed Families – Pakistan |

We are still actively supporting families of victims due to sectarian violence in Pakistan. Although CAI was able to assist with US$20,000 in immediate aid to victims families, medical bills for survivors is a daunting task. I am still hopeful we can reach our goal of raising $50,000 for this tragic and heart wrenching cause. Please help if you can.
Update on Mehzer Fatema – she is still very critical but out of danger. Tragically, Mehzer is paralyzed waist down with a bullet still loged in her spine.

| Rescued Children From Talibaan Doing Well |

Fifteen boys rescued from Nawzaad District in Helmand Province, Afghanistan from clutches of Talibaan siege are in Herat and doing well alhamd’Allah. CAI has provided basic living essentials and enrolled them in schools where they are now getting a proper Islamic / secular education. Remember these children were forced in the Tlibaan controlled province to adhere to their brand of Islam and banned secular education. Fifteen girls accompanied by a manager will be given similar opportunities come spring 2013 insha’Allah. Here are few photos of these boys.
