2023 Ramadhan Iftaar Appeal
The holy month of Ramadhan is not too far away and CAI must mobilize to distribute food aid to the poor and destitute across the world. Rice, wheat, sugar, flour, and cooking oil worth US$50 will go to each eligible household to supplement their iftaar. Please help us feed a hungry family so they too can enjoy a decent meal.
Our budget is about US$950,000 to feed about 19,000 families in 21 countries, many very remote and difficult to reach. Due to the inevitable increase in food costs as we get closer to the holy month, it is critical we plan, mobilize and lock in the prices now.
The countries where the food will be distributed are – Afghanistan, Bangladesh (Rohingya refugees), Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, India, Iraq, Liberia, Kenya, Nepal, Niger, Mali, Pakistan, Senegal, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Uganda, Tanzania, Togo, and Yemen.

Busia Village – Women's Empowerment
CAI donors gifted a cow each to 11 poor widows in Busia village, Kenya, for their economic well-being. Five of the cows delivered calves this week, adding another asset to their portfolio. These widows are almost economically self-sufficient and support their children to attend school. Sharing a few photos.
CAI Supported Yemen Orphans – Photo Gallery
The 150 orphans that CAI donors support in Sana’a are thriving, in this sixth year of their welfare. They arrive at their safehouse at 7:00 AM, have breakfast, attend regular classes with one hour of optional religious study, play, receive computer skills, attend the library, read, and then have a hot meal before going home at 4:00 PM.
