Ramadhan Iftar Aid For Poor Families – 2020
For this 24th year straight, CAI donors will insha’Allah help supplement the iftaar of about 14,000 poor and destitute worldwide, in 14 countries – Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Benin, Cameroon, India, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Sierra Leon, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda, and Yemen.
The average budget for the supplemental energy food package per family is about US$23 so our budget is US$322,000. Requesting your kindness as soon as possible so CAI can arrange all the logistics involved, including much better prices early, as food prices tend to escalate a lot closer to the holy month. Also, the iftaar aid reaches very remote areas of the world, so logistics is a challenge and we must have a lot of lead time.
Let us please join hands and help a hungry family have a filling healthy iftaar. The coronavirus has put tremendous stress on food prices; it is critical we purchase the food basket items now before the purchasing power of your dollars gets diluted with even steeper prices? Allah bless.
Developing Disaster in Pakistan – Please help
Thousands of people have been quarantined in Pakistan, (Taftan, D. A. Khan, D. I. Khan, Sukkur, Quetta), many recent arrivals from Iran, suspected of coronavirus infection. They are desperate for help since they have been housed in hot, squalid conditions without basic amenities and dismal medical attention. CAI, through local partners in Pakistan, is mobilizing the aid of basic medical and survival supplies to help treat the affected until they can be properly tested/treated. Please Help A Poor Student Wear Shoes – US$5 Each
The Chimba Primary School in Pemba, Tanzania has 550 very poor students. CAI donors provided desks to this school so the children can now study sitting on comfortable desks. The majority of these are so poor they do not have the money to purchase shoes. CAI will gift all students with a pair of shoes for about US$5 a pair. Please help CAI meet the target of US$2,625 before Eid mid-May 2020. Allah bless.
2 New CAI Sponsored Schools In Africa Coming Up!
CAI Trustees recently completed a tour of 5 African countries where there are current and future CAI projects, mainly in the educations field. A new school each in very poor areas of Sierra Leone and Uganda and 3 additional classrooms at a school in Pemba, Tanzania, will soon mobilize, giving an opportunity for about 1,400 students to go to school!
