These prices will escalate as we near Eid al Adha. The deadline for these prices is June 7th, 2024, so please book your order today.
Unfortunately, Comfort Aid International won’t be able to guarantee these rates or a timely zabihah for orders placed after June 7th, 2024.
10 Deep Water Wells | Tanzania
Potable water in rural areas of Tanzania is a luxury. For many, fetching clean water for drinking and household usage remains a challenge, wasting precious hours daily for this essential resource. Children are left exhausted after having to collect water early in the morning or after school; women walk distances to areas that can be dangerous for their safety. Comfort Aid International and its partners on the ground build as many deep water wells in such locations, with support from our donors.
CAI has 10 deep water wells in its pipeline to go live in the next 6-8 weeks. 4 in the greater Tanga region, 1 in Arusha, and 5 in the greater Kigoma area. They will offer comfort to villages with 3,000 to 5,000 beneficiaries near a school, a clinic, or a community center. These wells can spew between 8,000-12,000 liters of water per hour.
The average cost of such deep water wells is approximately $8,600, depending upon the location and depth for drilling the borehole.
Drilling in such remote areas is challenging, but the excitement is exuberant when they strike water.
Laptops for SGH and ZBH | Afghanistan
CAI’s 50 orphan students at Sakina Girls Home and 100 orphan students at the Zahra Boys Home in Kabul, Afghanistan, are captivated by the world that unfolds digitally with access to new laptops. The custom-built desks add comfort to their learning experience.
These laptops allow them to expand their education and awareness by accessing resources such as Khan Academy and more.
