Zanzibar/Pemba Rural Hospitals Receive CAI Donated Equipment
CAI donors have gifted vital ECG and ECHO equipment worth approximately US$100,000 to various rural hospitals in Zanzibar and Pemba, addressing the critical shortage of these essential medical devices. These machines will enable timely medical care for impoverished rural villagers. Pemba Island will have its first-ever ECHO machine. The official handover took place on August 31, 2025.

Computer/English Training Center – Zanzibar
CAI – Tanzania orphans in Zanzibar recently launched the Nyota Computer and English Center. This center assists low-income students in acquiring computer skills and English, empowering them to secure employment in the island’s expanding tourism industry.

Update on Baneen Maternity Clinic, Manakara
The Baneen Maternity Clinic in Manakara, Madagascar, is making steady progress, with commissioning scheduled for February 4, 2026, insha’Allah. It is an exceptional project that will give poor women in rural Madagascar access to childbirth services at a modern medical facility, including pre- and postnatal care. This service is expected to significantly reduce the current high mortality rate, insha’Allah.
