CAI has reached a roadblock of sorts in this year’s Ramadhan Iftaar collections, with collections / pledges difficult to come by. We have therefore made changes whereby food grains for remote areas of Afghanistan will be given priority, followed by distributions in major cities of Afghanistan and India, depending on further fund collections. I realize economic conditions are not so good this year but please, if you can, help us make sure these fasting families have a decent meal at iftaar time insha’Allah.

Phendheri Girl School In UP, India Update

Construction for this all girl school for our mostly sadaat girls is in full swing, alhamd’Allah and should be completed by December 2012, ready for a grand opening. Here are few photos of the CIP taken earlier this month under 48C plus temperatures.

Sakina Girls Orphanage, Kabul

There are now 10 orphan girls at the new facility funded by CAI donors, there will be a total of 25 insha’Allah by the end of this year, as we follow complicated procedures for the enrollment following stringent CAI guidelies and differing school semester. Here is a more recent photograph of some orphans.
