Miracle of Giving / Floods in AP, India / Water Project / Survival Blankets
The Miracle of Giving:
Zahra, daughter of a poor herdsman in Sachak, Afghanistan was brought to me during my last visit there. She was born with a cleft lip and the father begged me for help. Sachak is a very remote area and there are no medical facilities for hundreds of miles around. For me, it was a no brainer, she was eligible for help and made arrangements for her to go to Kabul. Look at the following result and you the donors got excellent return for your investment in the way of Allah (S), you must agree. Zahra will have to come back to Kabul once more for follow up surgery in a year but the results are already startlingly wonderful. Notice the change in her confidence level already; from a sulking, withdrawn child to one ready to engage in conversation and smiling. Subhaan’Allah! Thank you so much donors!
Floods in AP, India Devastates Momeneen Lives:
CAI received request for food aid from Momeneen who’s lives were devastated in the flooding that affected Kurnool District in AP, India. About 20 families are affected; CAI arranged food aid lasting 5 days for this community and more will be sent if the situation warrants it. These momeneen have requested for help in rebuilding their ruined homes and we will oblige for those eligible if CAI receives donations. Some startling photos attached for your information.
Progress on Water Project in Sachak-Afghanistan:
Here are few pictures and videos on progress of this critical project. I cannot begin to describe the agony of these people who suffer with no water. Alhamd’Allah, CAI, with the assistance of generous donors has embarked on providing about 5,000 families with life giving water. Not only will this water solve daily living needs but also provide for irrigation needs so food and hunger issues will, Insha’Allah be eliminated. Survival Blankets for Winter in Afghanistan:
We have had a lackluster response for this particular project. These blankets being purchased from China will insha’Allah save many lives and avoid inevitable tragedies that we witnessed in 2007 / 2008. A good warm blanket for 2 costs about USD14. Please help us avoid these needless deaths and sponsor a few blankets.
