Mobilizing For Ramadhan
The holy month of Ramadhan is less than 2 months away and CAI must mobilize to feed the hungry all over the world once more. We are targeting the most vulnerable areas that are often in remote and violence-prone areas of the world. For this exercise to be successful and cost-effective, CAI is appealing for your donations so we can be ready to start distributing a basket of food supplements so that a poor family can eat a satisfying iftaar. The countries CAI will aid are:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh (Rohingya refugees), Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, India, Iraq, Ivry Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Nepal, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, and Yemen.
Africa Water Well Projects – An Update
Another CAI donor-sponsored 3 deep water wells handed over to villages in Handeni, Tanga, Tanzania. The community erupted in joy as the water gushed out. No more walking for 2 kilometers to tote a pail of murky water for the day, especially for the womenfolk and children.
This project brings the total number of similar CAI-sponsored deep-water wells in Tanzania to 18.
