Appeal for Parachinar Aid | Pakistan | Aug 2024
Parachinar is a remote area in the Federally Administered Tribal Area of Pakistan, cordoned off by Afghanistan on all sides but one. On July 24th, 2024, violence erupted against the minority community in Parachinar by Taliban militants, closing the main artery connecting the region to the rest of Pakistan and leading to a shortage of food, medical and essential supplies, and emergency medical care.
49 dead and 190+ injured.
Comfort Aid International has committed $50,000 to provide medical assistance to the local Haidri Blood Bank and CAI-sponsored Haidri Welfare Hospital, and to provide food and essential commodities for immediate relief.
Please help by donating here (notate Parachinar under Food Aid). Your contribution will help save lives and assist families left economically vulnerable.
Deep Water Wells | Greater Tanga Region | Tanzania
Far from Tanga’s city limits, women and children struggle to fetch clean water in villages in the greater Tanga region. With help from Comfort Aid international donors, four deep water wells were commissioned, each providing 3,000 to 5,000 beneficiaries with potable water near a school, clinic, or community center. These wells can unleash between 8,000 and 12,000 liters of water per hour.
