Solar Panels For Rohingya Refugees – Bangladesh
The Rohingyas of Bangladesh are probably the most oppressed in the world today, aside from what is happening in Gaza. They are largely forgotten and rot in refugee camps in Bangladesh. They have no running water, no electricity, no sewerage. They cannot work, cannot leave the camps, and can get limited education only in Burmese. CAI has been running a day school and feeding 120 orphans for several years. They live in huts that are stifling in the summer. The women toil in the oppressive summer heat of 104°F while cooking.A simple solar system can transform the orphans’ home from hell to heaven. Remember, they are orphans, so they have only a mother to look up to. This solar panel will light their home and run a fan, allowing them to read and do homework at night; and the mother will breathe easier while cooking. A solar panel, a fan, and a lithium battery cost about US$230. Please consider helping us support these 120 orphan homes.

Sirsi School/Medical Clinic – Major Renovation After 25 Years – India
CAI intervened and revitalized an almost dead school and medical center in remote Sirsi, UP, India, some fourteen years ago. The school now has over 1,100 students from surrounding areas, mostly from poor agricultural families, and the medical center sees over fifty patients daily, including an average of eighty cataract surgeries per month for the very poor.These two structures required modernization and urgent repair work due to heavy rains and decay over the years. These repair and refurbishment efforts are now underway and will be fully completed by October.

The workshops are at full capacity, and ordinary citizens who were unable to complete formal education are being trained in computer literacy. Thirty-five students have completed the courses and are now computer literate and either employed or qualified for a desk job. A new batch starts in September 2026.

CAI Sponsored Computer Lab – Zanzibar
CAI donors refurbished a building and donated ten computers and furniture to Nyota Foundation Learning Center in Zanzibar, Tanzania. This gift was intended to support public computer literacy, in the hope that the booming tourism industry will seek a computer-literate workforce, creating employment.The workshops are at full capacity, and ordinary citizens who were unable to complete formal education are being trained in computer literacy.
