CAI is mobilizing for the ritual qurbani sacrifices for Eid al Adha. The poor in the following countries will receive meat and skins from animals slaughtered on that day:
Afghanistan: $113 for a large animal
Africa: $50 for a small animal
India: $104 for a medium animal
Iraq: $250 for a large animal
Syria: $200 for a large animal
Yemen: $140 for a large animal
These prices are good for now and will certainly escalate as we near the day. The deadline for these prices is June 15th, 2023, so please book your order now. We cannot guarantee these prices or on-time slaughter after June 15th.
School Opening – Seetpur, Multan, Pakistan
The CAI-sponsored City of Knowledge all-girls school in Basti Koheri, Seetpur, Alipur, Mutan was officially commissioned by Sohail Abdullah, Shaida Hussein Bhayani (TRS), and Ali Yusufali on May 28th, 2023. This modern school in remote and backward Pakistan is a critical resource for the girls here, offering an opportunity for quality education earlier denied.
Sharing a few photos of the opening.
Pakistan Flood Housing Aid
The CAI team was on the grounds for the inspection of 140 homes built/to be built for the victims of the 2022 floods that devastated so many homes. 95 of the homes have been constructed and handed over and the balance 45 will be completed by August 2023, insha’Allah. The homes are all rural over Sindh, Pakistan, so the inspections were arduous and tedious. You can read the trip report here and see a few photos here.
