Zakaat Fitrah – Plan Ahead
CAI must plan now since these funds benefit the poor in distant and difficult places. The zakaat will benefit 1,400 individuals in the following countries:
Afghanistan
East Africa
India
Madagascar
Pakistan
Lebanon
Syria
Yemen
CAI recommends donating US$14 per individual contribution as a gift to CAI and then switching the intention to Zakaat Fitr on the day of Eid.

Chukwa School, Skardu, Pakistan
CAI partnered with BCT (UK) to extend an elementary school in the remote village of Chukwa, Skardu, Pakistan. It is a miracle that a functioning school is in such a remote place. With the new classrooms, toilets, and desks, 100 new students will get a quality education in a place with much higher demand than school seats.

A Water Well For Arid Baharestan Village, Afghanistan
Baharestan Village in Nahre Shahi District of Balkh Province, Afghanistan, is remote and dry. A poor village requested a water well so their children would stop drinking polluted water fetched from a mile away. Since providing safe drinking water is one of CAI’s primary focuses, their request was granted, and the drilling is underway. The village will soon have plentiful potable water, insha’Allah.
