CAI Newsletter – November 2023 – A

The CAI-sponsored day school for 200 orphans in Damascus was inaugurated on October 3 and is now fully functional. The orphans join school early, have breakfast, attend classes, have a hot meal late in the day, and return home to their mothers or relatives. 100% of the orphan’s school and living expenses are fully covered by CAI donors. The donor-sponsored CAI school in Mwakezega Village, Kigoma Region, Tanzania, is progressing well. Sohail Abdullah and I were recently at the remote site for a firsthand inspection. Sharing a few photos.

It has been almost three years since any of the CAI’s HQ personnel have been able to visit the operations in Afghanistan. The change in government and ensuing chaos and violence made any visit risky.
