CAI is launching their 18th Ramadhan Iftaar appeal to help the needy with food aid during the holy month. Food packages will insha’Allah be distributed in the following countries by the end of Shabaan:
Afghanistan
Bangladesh
India
Liberia
Sri Lanka
Syrian refugees in Lebanon
Tanzania
The total budget for 2014 is projected at about US$250,000; we appeal to you for early help so our logistics teams can coordinate the distribution.

Alhamd’Allah, Abbas Jaffer and I recently completed an intense and exhausting 8 day trip to remote parts of Afghanistan. A school was inaugurated, another was approved for construction, a new medical clinic in a very remote part of Dykoondy was approved and the foundation stone for the 60 girl orphanage and 300 girl school outside Kabul was laid.
