SOS – Urgent Appeal For Coronavirus Victims
Urgent appeal for food during the lockdown period in India and Pakistan. CAI is receiving grim reports of desperate food issues due to the coronavirus lockdown situation in India and Pakistan. The availability of food is getting difficult and prices are soaring. Those living in slum areas, especially daily wage earners have very little or nothing to feed their families. CAI representatives have special permission to go about, purchase basic food grains and deliver them in slum areas. In Mumbai, this will be targeted towards Govendhi, Malad, Maloni. Mumbra and Jogeshveri. In Pakistan, the aid will be targeted towards victims of the coronavirus, but for medical and hospital supplies. CAI is looking to raise US$100,000 immediately.
